Welcome to the Black Rose Caving Club

We are a small but very active non-bureaucratic club based in Northern England, holding regular sporting caving meets in the Yorkshire Dales / Northern England and occasionally further a field to places like the Peak District, South Wales and Mendips, with a few weekends away organised each year. Some of our members occasionally indulge in exploration / digging activities. The majority of our members are based in Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Membership is open to anyone over 18.

The club was formed in November 2001 by cavers for cavers, we embraced the internet from the start and to this day maintain a healthy online presence for providing useful information to our members and, we hope, the wider caving community with cave information from our log book and trip reports. We have an active forum where visitors can view posts and our full meets list, or even sign up to ask questions about the club or joining us. We do not indulge in activities such as committee meetings and other extraneous events, we keep the club and its running simple, efficient and fuss free, after all, we are a caving club so that's what we do!

Towards the end of 2011 the club became a mere 10 years young and of course we celebrated this momentus occasion.
We had a fantastic 10th Anniversary Caving Trip at Gaping Gill on the 19th November and a meal and perhaps one or two (!) drinks that took place in Grassington on the 12th November, here's to the next 10!
